Call of Duty Black Ops Perk List
In every call of duty game since the release of the revolutionary game, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, perks have been a huge part of the call of duty franchise. It is clear that in perks in Call of Duty Black Ops will also have a big impact in the game. It was also announced that Call of Duty Black Ops will also include Pro Perks, which give you extra abilities when you unlock it. For example Scavenger Pro will allow you to pick up ammo from dead corpses but also give you double the ammo when you respawn. However, you are probably wondering how Call of Duty Black Ops perks will differ from those of previous games.
Perks in Call of Duty Black Ops will be divided into three sections, therefore in total you can have 3 perks attached at a time.
Section One Perks
Lightweight
The leightweight perk in Call of Duty Black Ops allows your character to run at a faster speed. This works great especially when you are attempting to do a quick flank of the enemy as you will be able to reach choke points of the map faster than people that do not use leightweight.
Pro- Leightweight pro allows you do drop from any height and not take any falling damage, another great asset when attempting to move around the map quickly or escape death.
Scavenger
The Scavenger Perk in Call of Duty Black Ops allows you to "refuel" from dead enemies or allies for that matter. This perk is amazing when you have a long average life time. This allows you too continue using your primary weapon and keep racking in the kills.
Pro- The Pro Scavenger perk start you each life with double the amount of ammo. Again great for those that stay alive for a long time and for all those campers out there that like hiding in a burrow the entire game.
Ghost
Ghost is just a new way of saying cold blooded from Modern Warfare 2. This perk allows you to stay undetected by UAV or spy planes. This perk is great if your going to be sneaking around the flanks of the map.
Pro- Ghost pro makes it so your name doesn't show up when the enemy targets you. This is again good for all you campers that like to lie in the weeds waiting for the enmy to come by.
Flak Jacket
Flak Jacket makes it so you don't get damaged as much by explosive ordinances. This sounds a lot like blast shield from Modern Warfare 2, and will probably be worthless...
Pro- Flak Jacket Pro allows you to not get damaged by fire and reset fuses of thrown grenades. Which is interesting concept but will probably be worthless too....better of going with lightweight or ghost.
Hardline
The Hardline Call of Duty Black Ops Perk makes it so killstreaks require one less kill for you to achieve the reward. So spy plane would usually require 3 kills but with this perk it only takes 2. Another worthless perk for people that actually know how to play the game...but will probably be popular with the noobs.
Pro- Hardline Pro allows you to randomly select another killstreak reward from a care package if you don't like the one given.
Section 2
Hardened
The Hardened Perk increases your bullet penetration, which increases damage of it when it goes through objects. This perk will be hand for those attempting to shoot through certain barriers, it will probably be most used with lmg's as they can easily spam through buildings.
Pro- Your weapon will do extra damage to certain killstreaks
Scout
The Scout Call of Duty Black Ops Perk allows scoped weapons such as snipers, to hold their breathe longer. Again this will probably be used by snipers because any skilled player doesn't need extra time to snipe.
Pro- Switch weapons with less time switching
Steady Aim
Yep Steady Aim is back in call of duty black ops. This is the perk used almost exclusively with sub machine gun classes. This perk increases your accuracy when hip fired.
Pro- Allows for you to aim quicker after sprinting.
Sleight of Hand
Sleight of Hand reduces your reload time for all weapons which will be extremely useful for those running and gunning that don't have time to reload. Most noobs don't see the usefulnes of this perk and only those who know what ehy are doing will use it.
Pro- Makes it so you can aim down the sight quicker
Warlord
Warlord perk is the same as Bling in Modern Warfare 2. It allows you too add two attachments to a weapon. Which will probably be used very much in search and destroy when you will want a silenced weapon with a sight.
Pro- Gives you an two extra grenades.
Section 3
Tactical Mask
The Tactical Mask protects you against gas attacks from the enemy
Pro- Reduces the duration of flash bangs and other attacks
Marathon
Increases the duration of the time you can sprint, which is a great perk to have when combined with lightweight to get around the map quickly
Pro- Marathon pro makes it so you can sprint unlimitedly, which is perfect for those trying to get around the map
Ninja
Ninja is back is will be very useful especially when going against a team that all have turtle beach headsets as ninja allows you to creep around the map making very little noise.
Pro- Makes enemies footsteps and movement louder
Second Chance
This is Call of Duty Black Ops version of last stand. After you would have normally been killed you go down for ten seconds in a final effort to get some kills, and apparently you can be revived by teammates also using second chance.
Hacker
Hacker is the equivalent of sitrep from modern warfare 2. You will be able to spot out enemy explosive devices.
Pro- Hacker Pro allows you to plant explosives onto enemy care package and make enemy vehicles friendly....this could create some very interesting battles.
