 HALO 3 WEAPONS

Plasma Pistol- the plasma pistol in Halo 3 has less tracking abilitiy then in Halo 2. However if this weapons is overcharged it can stop a vechicle from functioning for around 10 seconds. Use this weapon in close to medium fights. Also the plasma pistol loses power while it charges, a change from Halo 2.

                                   

 

 

Plasma Rifle- The plasma rifle is the elites main weapon. It shoots blue plasma charges, and it can be duel wielded. Use this weapons in close to medium fights. It can be an excellent combo if used with a SMG or Brute Spiker.

Energy Sword- The energy sword now only has 100 charges on it. Each kill uses ten charges. Now when two people wielding swords hit each other, they are both stunned. Melee right after a stun for a quicker attack. This weapon in close fights.

Needler- The needler is much stronger. It has lost its duel wielding capabilities and is no longer as good at tracking an enemy. Use at medium range for best results.

Carbine- The covenant carbine is almost the same as the humans battle rifle except it only shoots one shot at a time instead of in bursts. Use this in medium to far ranges. Aim for head for best results.

Fuel Rod Cannon- The fuel rod cannon is the same as in halo 2. It shoots huge green explosions. This weapon is mostly an anti-vechicle weapon. 1 direct hit to an opponent will kill them.

Beam Rifle- The beam rifle is the covenant equivalent of the sniper rifle. 1 head shot will kill an opponent as will 2 shots to anywhere on the body. If you shoot quick shots it overheats, so take a second break inbetween each one.

Plasma Cannon- The plasma cannon is the covenant form of the turret. It however shoots plasma charges instead of bullets. It has 200 charges once taken off of the mounting. The pickup ability of this weapon is new in Halo 3.

Gravity Hammer- The gravity hammer is a close range weapon that has the power to kill people in one hit or flip vechicles. Brute Captains will use this in Campaign. This is a new weapon in Halo 3.

Battle Rifle- The battle rifle is a great weapon. It has range and power. It shoots in bursts of three. Use this weapon in any range. In campaign make sure to always a battle rifle or carbine on you.

Assault Rifle- All I can say is, it's great to have it back. It has a lot more range then the SMG did and it has more power. Use this weapon in medium to close range.

SMG- Does not have good range but is ok up close. Can be duel weilded. Use this weapon up close.

Missle Pod- The missle pod shoots 8 missles that have lock on abilities. The missle pod slows your walking. This is a new weapon in Halo 3.

Rocket Launcher- The weapon is EXPLOSIVE!  It is great against vechicles or people. Is great at any range however it has lost its abiltiy to lock on. This is one of Master Chief's favorites.

Pistol- Is great for getting head shots. It is no longer sighted in scope. It is good in medium to close range. Not as good as it was in Halo.

Spartan Laser- Again another amazing weapon. This weapon is great against vechicles. It is HARD to kill people though if you haven't practiced. Good for any range. The charge takes 3 seconds, however it can be stopperd at any time before firng. It only has 5 shots per weapon. This weapon may have been designed for Master Chief.

Sniper Rifle- The sniper rifle is a long range weapon. It takes one shot to the head to kill someone or 2 shots in the body. This is another one of Master Chief's favorites/

Shotgun-The shotgun is great up close. It is a one shot kill up close, but usually people shoot farther away then do a quick beat down. This gun is great in Halo 3!

Machine Gun Turret- The turrents on levels can now be picked up. To pick them up just go into them and press B. They only have 200 rounds when picked up. The pickup ability on these is new in Halo 3.

Flamethrower- The flamethrower is a heavy duty flame weapon. You will incenirate anything you shoot with it. The weapon has been brought back from the regular Halo.

Brute shot- The brute shot shoots gernades, now they go straight unlike in halo 2 when they bounced. They are now less powerful but have 6 shots in a clip.

Brute Spiker- The brute spiker shoots spikes. It can be duel weilded and is thought to be one of the best duel weildable weapons.

Brute Mauler - A combination of a pistol and a shotgun. It has longer range than a human shotgun but is less powerful.

Frag Grenade-The frag grenade bounces around. It can kill within 5 meters and damage within 15.

 

Plasma Grenade- The plasma grenade sticks to people and vechicles. It will kill in one explosion if the person is close enough.

 

Spike Grenade- The spike gerenade sticks to any surface. If only kills people in one explosion if stuck to them. This is a new grenade type in Halo 3.

 

Flamebomb grenade- This grenade bursts into flames when it hits contact with something. If the person is the one it contacts with, the person dies. This is a new grenade type in Halo 3
