Halo 3 Sniping Tips
In halo 3 sniping is a big part of the game. You MUST be able to snipe your opponent. However there are many strategies and tips you can use to better yourself in sniping. That is what I am here for, I am going to try to compile a huge list of every halo 3 sniping tip I can find, so please sit back and relax and read our complex list of halo 3 sniping tips.
 
  1.  First off, choose what you want to be, a battle sniper or a support sniper. A battle sniper is a sniper who moves around the levels with a sniper and also fights with his back up weapon. A support sniper is sniper who sits back and snipes the enemy from a ways away. This sniper is usually in a "hiding" place. You must choose this because depending on which you will choose your back up weapon. If you are a battle sniper you will want a close to mid-range weapon. If you are support you will want a close range weapon that is powerful, like a shotgun.

 

          2.   Use the 5x scope soon often. The 10 x scope is almost useless unless you are trying to make a sniper

          shot across Vahalla. Using the 5x scope will increase your accuracy significantly.

 

          3.Do not stand still ever while sniping! Get use to sniping on the move, if you are standing still you will be killed, period. Standing still allows the enemy to get easy headshots on you. It won't matter if you if you get a shot off on them, they will get a headshot on you, killing you instantly. So again my most useful halo 3 sniping tip is don't stand still!!!!

 

          4. Attempt to hide in bushes or behind rocks, also look up sniping spots on every halo 3 level. If you have a large knowledge base a nice sniping spots you will increase the amounts of kill you have. There are many sniping spots on Vahalla that I have used and I have been able to get around 20 kills in a row with no one ever finding you.

 

          5. If you are using a well known hiding spot, get 2 or 3 kills and then move locations. If you do not move you will be killed because the enemy will be attempting to smoke you out. You must also be able to sneak around the map successfully or you will be finding yourself getting shot with a battle rifle.

 

           6. Scope in and out continually checking your radar to make sure no one has snuck up on you.

 

           7.To kill an enemy in close quarters do not scope and run straight at them. When they are about 2 feet away shoot and then quicly follow that with a beat down. This will almost assure a kill and makes the sniper almost as successful as a shotgun in close quarters.
