As you know, in oblivion there are many horses that you can purchase. However they are all prone to dieing and are fairly expensive for good quality ones. However, something you might not have known is that there is an "indestructible" horse that never dies and is free. The way you get this horse is by completing the Dark Brotherhood quest Purification. Shadowmere is the fastest creature in oblivion, perfect for those quick escapes that you need to pull off.

 

Information

1. If shadowmere is knocked unconcious and you do not get back onto it, it will go back to Fort Farragut.

 

2. When shadowmere is unconcious, you can place items onto her body. This will help you move more items at once.

 

3. Shadowmere will never go hostile against you, so try training some of your skills.
